Default Overflowing Toilet Ad Is Starting to Get on My Nerves

I do appreciate that using this wonderful board is free. I have learned so much and get so much enjoyment from it.

However, that overflowing toilet ad seems to come up constantly. It is getting to be very repulsive. I don't mind being bombarded by "mayhem", but the images do not convey anything positive. Lately this toilet ad has been running almost continually (no pun intended).

Thanks for letting me vent!

Somehow the ads get posted based what you have been looking at. Maybe the overflowing toilet is a default ad. Try looking up some web sites for cars, tee shirts, stuff like that. Those are the ads I see.

You can stop these ads - I did. If you hover over the left hand side there is a little box that you click on to get to the advertising standards bit which allows you to block these adverts. You can specify no tracking ads so they won't target your interests either. If you can't find it, go to Google and search for how to block adverts.

I tried this. Now, I'll see if they go away.

I've never noticed that ad - but I tend to 'not notice' most of them!

Thanks, I'll try this. Get tired of seeing all those ads pop up!

Glad to know there are ways to stop that stuff! I just hyper focus on what I'm interested in and totally ignore the rest. It serves me well in this case, but often I miss information in my environment that I should be picking up. It is what it is!
