has admin ever thought about
Making a game sub-board? Willy nilly game/personal post mix has my OCD out of whack! haahaa
I suggested it once. It was a no-go.
I would agree with that, sometimes Games takes up the whole first page!!
Totally agree!!!
I agree! I wonder why it was a no go.
PatriceJ has previously posted that there would be no 'games' forum
that's correct. we are a quilting board. games are not part of our mission or focus.
But there are games here already. If they are allowed even though they are not a primary focus, then perhaps there is some case to consider putting them where those who don't wish to view them can more easily ignore them.
Gosh, I just don't get what's so hard about scrolling past the game posts, like you scroll past any other post you don't have an interest in. I don't play the games either, but I certainly don't let them bother me. I probably scroll past many more than I read, it's just part of "surfing".
They don't bother me per se but I don't participate in them. It would be no trouble at all to create a sub board in the general chit area since it's non-quilting. But of course, it was only a suggestion.
There are plenty of sites for games, if I wanted them I would go to those sites, not sure if the new quilters would want to go through everything to get to the nitty gritty of this forum.. Thank you PatriceJ for not allowing games.
The games ARE allowed, they're just in general (key word!) chit chat. As I stated before....NOBODY reads everything posted in any forum, that's what SCROLL bar is for :)
i never run into the game because i read the posts from the archives at the bottom of the page.
I never run into them either, because I don't subscribe to the general chit forum. I come into the QB through a shortcut to my settings tab, so only see the forums I've subscribed to. Maybe that's something those of you who don't wish to see games could consider doing.
