The first and most important thing to remember is that the emails are not the board. They are only a link to a smattering of thread links. They are rarely the newest threads and barely scratch the surface of all that's available here. If you know you want to come to the board often, the emails are a waste of time. they slow you down. why wait for an email? You never need those emails to connect to the board. Just come straight to http://www.quiltingboard.com If you like starting with the sample list of links, go to the Resources tab. Make sure to keep exploring, though, so you don't miss any of the good stuff. :-) The Archive link leads to lists of threads in reverse order - newest first. The Home tab is the starting point to get to everything. You can add it to your browser favorites/bookmarks, put a shortcut on your desktop, or (if you are a total QB junkie like me) you can make it your home page. Try using the direct route. You might find you like it better. :-) Check your junk/spam folder. Even though you have asked to receive the emails, many services treat them like junk anyway. They disable the links or send them straight to spam/junk. They sometimes don’t make it through to user inboxes – not even to the junk folders. Also, if you have not already added the QB to your email’s safe senders list, please do: Please take the following steps to add a contact to your safe senders list: 1. Open your email account (example: AOL, Gmail, Yahoo! or Outlook). 2. Locate your “address book” or “contacts”. 3. Add [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] to your address book or list of contacts. 4. Save your changes. If your email program provides for it, also add [email protected], @lifestyle.ibemail.com and @quiltingboard.com to your list of safe senders (or the equivalent). |
PATRICE, I - for one - do not have time to review anything more than the daily digest, and want to continue to receive this. I do not want it to be replaced by some advertising request. While I understand your response above - I think most of us know we can come directly to the Board and review postings there....What I want, is to receive the daily digest - not repeats of the advertising email that was sent out on behalf of the Board. When is this going to be resolved/corrected?? Thanks!

Yep. Me, too. I just went to the main website and read posts there.
I received the same double E-mails.
Ditto. I don't sweat the small stuff. I just deleted. it. Lately, I just go to the "What's New" forum. I'm sure they caught it also.
Same happened to me I responded to email to say no thanks and have not received a digest since even though the email said there would be no change to daily email.

For all you die-hards that MUST get the Daily Digest, why rely in emails that are often times blocked by your ISP or lost in cyberspace for one reason or another? Make this link a bookmark, favorite, or shortcut on your desktop. If the Daily Digest is the main reason you turn your computer on each day, you could even make it your browser's home page. Don't let it ruin your day if you don't get your email, this is a simple solution for everyone! http://www.quiltingboard.com/resources/daily-digest-4/
