Problem with internet explorer

In the past several weeks I have been having trouble with Internet Explorer when working with the Quilt Board site. I can get in but then after I have chosen a topic and then I choose a site to go to it then hangs itself up. Sometimes all I have to do is return to the last screen and it hangs up. It is very annoying as I have restarted and actually taken the system down to see if this correct the problem. I have no problem with looking at any Quilt Board scren screen on my Google Nexus 7 tablet. This is the reason I think it must be Explorer. Is anyone else having this problem and if so, what have you concluded.

Are you having similar issues on sites other than qb with Explorer? That will be the key. I got very frustrated w/IE several months ago constantly redirecting me and/or with pop ups. Loaded Mozilla Firefox on both the laptop and desktop computers. Currently using laptop/Mozilla. Still get some pop ups and redirects but not nearly as badly. On desktop, got what I thought was a pop up from Mozilla about an update. Sure. Click on link and the bloody browser (mozilla) won't work on that computer any more. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Now I use IE on that one. The pop ups and redirects are far fewer on IE now than before.

If you're having issues on sites other than qb with IE, then you might need to update the version of IE that you are using. Or possibly just change some settings.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I am getting so frustrated because I look at QB on my tablet before I get up. Then when I go to my laptop I can't get all the way to what I want to see. I am not having the problem with any other site.

I use Safari. It works great. Enternet Explorer has been grumpy lately.

My Sis was having problems with her computer with windows 7 on a projectnoah site she likes. We spent a long time trying to "fix" and nothing was working. I realized she was on IE8 so we updated it to IE9 and she has had no problem uploading her pics or getting in & out. I realize it's a totally different site but maybe if you just updated to the IE9 it would be the fix for you too.

My DH has had problems with that lately. I use Google Chrome and I love it.

I just updated to IE9 because I was having a problem on a bunch of sites (especially when opening pdfs). Thought it was working ok but now I'm getting the same old error messages (explorer not responding) at the top, plus an error box in the middle of my screen.
No problem with google chrome or safari.
