Threat

I wonder if some others on this board have the same problem....since about 3-4 weeks now, everytime I log into the quilting board it brings me a warning from my AVAST "threat has been detected" sometimes 2 or 3 times with different names on the threat.
Can anyone help with an idea where this might come from???
Thanks and have a great weekend!!!
Elfi

Do a search for the virus names it brings up. If you are using the free avast it might not clean, only warn.

We can pick up virus and trojans anywhere these days, in the most innocuous sites. Good luck.
It doesn't mean this site is giving it to anyone, only that something here is triggering it out of the closet.

the AV alert is in error.
the board is not infected.

are you connecting through the emails?
if so, skip the email and come directly to the board.

I also got the alert from Microsoft with instructions to clean the computer. I did so and all is well now.

Firefox browser seems to curtail a lot of those problems

I only get a warning when I try to open a url in someone's comments. And that happens very rarely. I also have Avast. It OFTEN happens on Pinterest when I try to open a site at the bottom of one of the pictures that interests me - I'll click to open a site, because I want to see if there are more things I'll want to Pin.
