What's with all the old posts

For the last few days I've seen lots of posts from 2007! So many that I have to go through several pages just to get to the current posts.

I see comments are being made on these old posts which bring them to the front, but just little one or two words.

Is there a reason for this? Am I missing something? Confused!

Edit: I should mention it seems to be on the pictures page only.

yes, that's boring. someone must be searching old stuff and replying for them to come up now. I started reading the dates and wont' click on those anymore. been there, seen that!!!

At first I thought maybe it was a troll. But guess not.

haven't seen them. I have my settings set to thread start time, rather than latest post. Works great.

If you use the "archive" feature on the board (bottom of the page), you can look at just the newly started threads. That's all I use anymore.

someone replys to older posts, that is what is happening. they search and reply. but they are several from 2007. now, i just ignore those!

This same question was asked by Joyce888 last week. The old pictures are nice, but you can tell some of the posters didn't look at the date the thread was started by the comments they make. It seems like a lot of them were resurrected by the same few people. I wonder if it's a QB Facebook thing. I always double check the date now.

we keep all the old posts specifically so they'll be available to new members.
old members like to reminisce, too, or search out things they remember and want to review or try.

there's nothing wrong with it.
quilts are timeless.
so are most questions and advice.

2007 quilt pictures

Why is the website recycling 2007 quilt postings on the 2012 current pages?
