Default Problem with popup ads on this board

Is anyone else having this problem...there is an ad in the last few days that keeps popping up...I close it and it comes back...repeatedly until I have to close Quilting Board completely and then open up again...

also, the x for closing the ad is white..almost invisible to the point you can't find it...I had a hard time seeing it the first few times...

Report it to [email protected]
provide as many details as possible.
they can't block it unless they can determine the source.
they will need your help, so your report must be very specific and detailed, please.

See if you are logged out of the board, that sometimes helps to re log onto Quilting Board.

I too have that problem on the iPad. It happened awhile ago, then quit and now it's back and a pain. I ignore them the best I can.

You can disable pop ups. Also, check your Manage Add Ons to see if you have anything added on that you didn't want. I visited a game webpage and as a result they added a program so that a video played on any webpage I was on. Also, if all else fails, do a system restore. It won't hurt your computer. If the add on comes back then it is probably something elsewhere in your system.

I have been troubled by this on the iPad. It only happens on this site and the only thing that comes up is from the Apple App Store. It stops if I disable Java script. I googled and apparently this is a problem within apple somewhere. The ad blocker is active but this is a different kind of problem.

My iPad does have this problem now and again. Not today, though. It's been amazingly pleasant to come here today.

I have this problem intermittently, and it has gotten so bad over the last week that the site is really unuseable for me. I read on my iPad, and I get redirected to the App Store. There are different apps that come up - sometimes shopping sites, sometimes games. Please, please fix it! I love QB and I can't stand reading five or six posts and the. Getting redirected!

like I said above, this is a problem with the Apple App Store and not the board. I spent a lot of time googling this issue and other people have the problem on some websites. Apple has been asked to address it. Might try contacting them.
