Default Question about app store ads on iPad

I see we are going through a software update and maybe that is the issue - but ONLY on quilting board does the page fade out and what appears is an ad for an app in the Apple App Store. I've tried rebooting my iPad and this doesn't really help. I don't understand how it would be an iPad issue if it never happens on anything else but the quilting board. Anyone?

My DIL clicked on the pop up add blocker when she set up my iPad. I only get the ads at the top QB site that don't bother me on the most part. Occasionally I will have trouble with QB if the ad is animated but I just wait it out.

Tartan, could you find out what ad blocker she used? This isn't an ad like a banner - the quilting board goes away and an app store ad for some stupid game comes up, wanting me to buy it. Very annoying!! And never happens on anything but the quilting board!!

Since I use Safari for QB, she clicked Settings, then Safari and then clicked on the ad blocker. If you Google " how to turn off pop up ads on iPad" you should be able to find a site that will walk you through with pictures.
If it is ads for Apple apps, you might have clicked on the push notification button when you added some apps? I always say no when they ask to push notification. Wish I could tell you more but I am not very computer literate.

Thanks. I use safari too and did check that the ad blocker is activated. I never allow push notifications either. I'm not having the problem this evening. Maybe it will just stop!!
