Default Why are some of the messages a dark pink and some light pink?

I can't make heads or tails out of the message color coding system here. I looked for an explanation and didn't find it.

I figured out that when I view a message, it changes from blue to pink. But some are a light pink while most are a dark pink. It doesn't signify that I posted in that message thread. What do the 2 different pinks mean? So curious.....

Thanks!!

whether pink or original blue, they will appear darker/bolder when there are messages that you have not yet read. try this: pick a darker one, read or scroll all the way to the end, then go back to the list... you will see that it is now lighter/not bold.

Yes!! That's it. Thanks.

I've often wondered if there was a way to tell if there were new additions to threads that I'm following, now I know that there are.
