This looks interesting.I'll start my year as of my birthday because I'm a late starter and my temps will be local max & min C degrees.

It will be fun to have you and you opposite temperatures.
My evil 365 quilt is being mailed back by the long-armer today. Did you do that Challenge hosted by your county woman?

Yikes! Yesterday I realized that Feb. has nearly gotten away from me so got out my notebook to record Feb high and low temps for the past week and discovered it was worse than I thought. I had only recorded Feb. 1 . Got caught up on recording, now I have to cut all those triangles and sew them together...

t i've never done a challenge before! The hardest part I think will be working out a pattern. I like using scraps but I think solids will be the way to go.

I think if I were to start over (which I won't) I would use solids; light to dark from low to high within a temp. range.

Thats what I'm going to do MNT grandma. My temp are Celcius and the Maximums will be strong colours and the minimums pastel shades. I was going to start on my birthday, end Feb but I've found local temps and can back date to Jan 1. Just have to get the fabric and I'm on my way.
Red 40 + pale 20+
Orange 35/39 pale 15/19
Yellow 30/34 lemon 10/14
Green 25/29 pale 5/9
Blue 20/24 pale 0/4
Purple 15/20 lavender 0-

I've been getting my solids online in gradated packs. Forces me to buy colors I don't like, but need to use anyway.

I've ordered my fabrics (solid batiks) and will start with Jan 1. Haven't decided if I'll do high and low or just high. Good thing accuweather has temps for the full year.

I'm also thinking about doing one for the year I was born. Does anyone know where I can find the temps for the 1950s?

I wondering how much fabric to have of each color. We seem to have a lot of 40-70's range this year. (not complaining). I'm doing 12 colors with light and dark range using F degrees. Not sure of fabric amounts. Curious how much yardage others are getting. Will a fat-quarter be enough?

I'm just making it simple and doing 2 1/2" squares, one roll for high temps and the next roll for low temps. Between each month have a 2 1/2" of black. On months with no dates like this month I will place a gray square to even out the rolls to 31 days. For me I'm keeping it simple. Next month I will select my colors. I leaning towards batiks and colors that go well with batiks.

I like what others are doing.

I am in on this challenge as well. I kept seeing the crochet versions of this idea, so am glad to have found a group working on a quilt version! My fabrics are gathered, my temperature scale is decided, and I have three patterns floating in my head. So I'll just start with one and maybe work on the others later!
