2017 Temperature Quilt

There are detailed instructions on the internet. Basically prepare the fabric to accept the dye. Suspend some sort of screen over a container. Squish up the fabric, put on top of screen. Cover with as much snow as you can (tuck in any fabric peeking out) Using a powered dye(I use Procion Mx) sprinkle over the snow. I started with just navy blue, red, and yellow. The navy was always on the purple side. Which is why I need to try another blue dye. The most interesting results happened when I sprinkled one color and then came back randomly with another. Then you have to wait till the snow melts to see what happened. Then rinse and set the color.

I knew we had a wet winter, but they just announced the snow pack in the Sierra's is bigger than the last four winters combined. Flood warnings are out for when it starts melting. California weather is a mess; drought to floods with nothing in between. We are trying to salvage our 18 foot travel trailer. Even though Paul resealed the roof last summer, we got lots of water damage...not to mention the mice. I am washing everything I can move out of the trailer, but where to put it if we declare the trailer totaled. A replacement really isn't in the budget. Thank you for listening.

Thanks for the encouragement. Paul is looking into putting on new roofing. Found mouse sign all over the kitchen in the house today, guess they moved there after I chased them out of the trailer. I am thinking of restricting the two cats catfood, and see if they go to work.
