How exciting to wait for tomorrow! Once I got the help I needed from fellow board members I finished all of clue 2. I was so frustrated, couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, I had watched Bonnie's video, sewed, ripped, said bad words, recut, and finally after the help here got them to come out right! I did the mystery quilt last year, finished it and absolutely love it. I am seriously thinking of starting another one for this year so I will be able to give one as a gift. I bought extra magenta fabric and read that we are done with that now. ( At least that is what I think I read) so will have enough to do another with it. Thank you everyone who chimed in to help me.

Beautiful finish, Kassaundra. Love the horse fabric too.

One of my UFOs for 2017 is to complete my Allietare. I now have all the borders on and it's ready to quilt...well almost. I am having difficulties picking a backing fabric. For those of you who did the suggested red, gold, gray and black version, what color backing did you chose? I have a red for the binding once it's quilted.

I admit that I just opened the container with all the gathered fabric and started right into it. Have sewn just one part but have cut one more part. I happen to like the colors in this one and so far still excited. I found a cream fabric with what looks like a vineyard countryside.

jmoore - I used a grey flannel for the back of mine. I really like flannel backings!

jmoore, I found some gold grape fabric on clearance, and plan to use that.

jmoore, finishing Allietare is my goal for 2017 too. I'm still putting all the pieces together and making blocks. As far as backing fabric, I picked out a gold wide backing, this way there's no extra seams for the back. I found it when Thousands of bolts recently had a sale on their wide backings.

JeanieG, I wish I had seen your post before I made my purchase as I love flannel too. I ended up getting 2 1/2 yards of 108" wide Moda grunge in cream and gray...I'll post pictures in a couple of weeks after I rent the longarm and get it quilted. Joe's mom....love, love your gold backing and your quilt top.

Sync...we'll be right here encouraging you to finish. It is a beautiful quilt.

Thanks jmoore. I'm plugging along here. So far I have 14 of the 50 blocks made. ..... lol ...... now my hubby tells me that he really likes how it looks. For some reason when I showed him Bonnie's reveal picture he wasn't at all thrilled with it.
