That's an excellent idea! No doubt they will have a lot in common! I love artists of all genre! I am frustrated that the most artistic thing I've done all month is get my nails done! Grrr at me!

Well, here it is Thanks giving and I haven't even started the November challenge. I know what I want to do but don't have a clue on how to do it. Still working on that part. I am a complete loss on December's challenge. My family does not like handmade gifts, so I don't make them things anymore. Kinda took the fun out of the season for me when I was told this several years ago. (No more handmade gifts, we want store bought. Bah Humbug!!) So November might creep into December in getting the challenge done. I hope all is well with everyone and I wish a happy thanksgiving season to you all.

Let's get these kids connected!!
Oh yeah... that would be fun. Probably lots in common. DD and SIL have LOTS of creative, interesting. single friends!
It would be hilarious if they already knew each other. Want to PM me with FB data and I'll do same?

Also know some fantastic, talented women orchestral musicians down here in Santiago should he want some real adventure!

Boy do I know these problems. My November challenge has morphed into an unexpected gift art piece that I think the recipient will enjoy instead of what I was going to make for me. (The other may become December or January or....anyway, it goes on the list to do later right? Maybe for me for Dec)

Family that only want 'boughten' stuff? OMG! Well I progressed to gift certificates for a micro lender like Kiva for many of my friends and family. Helping better people's lives is what the season is all about so that handily takes care of that. Then there is more time to get back to the fun of creating those projects that keep us awake a night planning their details.

Hope you enjoy getting into a project soon......

i agree with sistah! i prefer hand made! my children normally get $, and a little something to unwrap. but dgd gets money in her college fund, and new stuff. she is almost 18 months and is talking up a storm! i've bought dresses and toys. can't help myself! the family is getting xmas stockings, if i put the pc down and make them. lol. i know i'm not the only one!!! lol

My circle loves & expects homemade gifts. Sometimes it is hard to get a new idea. This year it is place mats and/or sets of napkins. A computer-print pillow for the computer geek. Art quilt for vagabond son. Pumpkin butter is in the crockpot.
Nut brittle. Ornaments of course. Ho, ho, ho!!

Don't forget a QR code for the geek to scan and puzzle over! It will print up great on any photo prepared fabric. They are so cool, totally 'geeky' and useful in many a quilt project as an 'in' joke. http://goqr.me/

Can I come to your house for the pumpkin butter and nut brittle? I can bring some Chilean wine and fresh blueberries and strawberries........but nuts are wildly expensive here so I crave things like pecan pie and nut brittle.........
