Well you could always gracefully excuse yourself by saying you meant it for any guest, dog, cat, bird or other new addition that is around for the next few Xmases. I mean after all, really, if there were any possible grandkids around the corner you would be making them serious super special works of art to be used! OTOH twixt you, me, and the wall....... subtle suggestion is always in order!

Can't wait for the photos. I am quilting my piece tomorrow. I am still unsure of how much stitching to put on it but I am going to plunge in anyway as it sure isn't getting any closer to done on the wall where it is. Photos to follow later PM Thurs I hope.

Have been very busy with quilts for Sandy victims, which will be personally delivered to Krystyna (doll quilt swaps).
We have quite a pile along with household items and toys. See my thread under "Requests". I pestered my Bee and they responded with a great quilter's CARE package. Maybe January's theme should be "a long winter's nap".

Hi All,
How about if you turn your experiments into mug rugs? I have the idea of collecting 600 for the kids in Newtown for Valentine's day. I think these kids will get plenty of toys, etc but by mid Feb a small gift of love & support would be nice.
Use up your kid friendly scraps & keep giving. Send to me- I'll keeo count- or straight to Newtown. Happy New Year! Dotty

i have loaded pictures of a few of the stockings i made for my kids. here's hoping i can attach them. fingers crossed!! i'm not sure these classify as art, but they were great fun to design and make. each is reversible with a fabric cuff ( as opposed to the fur. evidently i forgot to take pictures of that.) keeps me busy and off the streets, lol.

Well, I am finally going to post the pictures I promised a while back of my wedding quilt. This bride is into yellow and purple hence the colors. I used some new techniques to do the piecing so things went together faster than usual which was nice. This was a lovely quilt to work on. It should now be at the quilters being quilted. I don't know that part is out of my hands, I am just waiting to get it back to bind it in time for the wedding reception. jb

Obviously my pictures didn't take will try again.
