Petthefabric-- that is very impressive! And you are really lucky i have one more wall i can put it on! Phew! That was close! I might have run out of space and you might've given it to someone else! Well done!

I'm not allowed to tell anyone my big news because it's early days yet and anything can happen, but probably won't, and you know how that goes! They have taught olivia to say " I'm being promoted to big sister"! I'm being promoted to grammi of 2!! Of course, you didn't hear it from me!, LOL. I will be making another baby quilt as soon as i know what kind of critter they're baking. I'm so excited! Don't tell anyone!
It was so fun in dallas. I have some pictures but haven't figured out how to post on an ipad. My dell needs some serious work done, and that's the one i know how to use! My dgd olivia had a huge party and no meltdowns! The theme was Disney mouse, mostly Minnie and ddil had made a ton of very creative decorations and another gm made the cake. The third gm fell and broke her nose and spent the next four days in the hospital. I think she was devastated to miss all the fun! Two days before i left olivia told me she needed to go potty so we did. She has been wearing big girl pants for a week! And now a promotion! Busy month for a two yr old!! And a wonderful month for a grammi! My dogs and cats were a mess, but well fed and loved on so I'm not complaining. The girls have had a spa day and two flea treatments and are doing much better. The cats are just getting the flea treatment, lol. Hate to wash cats! My 20 yr old cat is still mad at me and will only haughtily walk past me on the way to dh. He blames me for being gone so long. Tiger ran to me as soon as i got home and plastered himself to my side. Different animals, different response. Simon will come around as soon as it's cold(I'm very warm). The dogs are Velcro pups at the moment and kitten likes to maintain body contact at all times which makes walking interesting. Can't wait for the crisp air! I think i love the fall the best!! So many great, and little, changes on the way! Know i can come up with something good!

I have news also that I'm allowed to tell. This daughter has had 4 miscarriages in the past year so we are really being mum on this one. This pregnancy was twins and she has lot one but the remaining one is doing well so far!!

I too am waiting to know what kind of critter we will have. My daughter and sil love to sail so it's going to get a sailboat quilt just need to know if it's a girlie sail or a boy sail.

Best wishes to your family!!

Amelia-- i hope for the best for the little one. Miscarriages are tough on everyone. My ddil is feeling morning sickness so i think we're gonna do this. Baby will be due in may. I hope it's may 3 since that is my birthday and my grandmother's birthday. Would be fun to keep that tradition alive! But i will accept this baby on any terms, boy girl i don't care, just hope for healthy! Pray for the same with yours, Amelia!
On the flip side of the coin, i am trying very hard not to flip out ( like the pun?). I have found a new mole, larger than a pencil eraser , irregular border, and little specks of dark pigment, and no hair growing from it. Surprisingly , it is in a spot with very limited sun exposure-- the groin crease next to my right leg. A dear friend of mine had a mole near there and it was at first misdiagnosed. She lost the battle years ago, and i still miss her. Can't help but have that running thru my mind! I am hoping for the best! So...... Really big changes may be in store!

Between Nancia and Amelia there is a lot of scope for some good clever and interesting Quilt making. Fingers and toes crossed for both of you.

Looks like this month's challenge topic was right on the mark! Big changes indeed- I hope to see some expressions of all your hidden hopes and fears in fabric--just for us on the thread.

petthefabric--love that Q! It certainly gets me to thinking. Can't wait to see the next one. Got a similar project on the wall with some rough edge applique and I think you gave me an idea to further it.......

REMEMBER ALL YOU LURKERS.... the monthly challenge is just a suggestion. We are happy to see and hear about any 'artsy' projects you have done or are in process with. We want to learn and exchange ideas here.

Nancia - you just scared me. I have a similar mole in the same spot that just came up a few months ago. I've been ignoring it. I have my annual physical in a few weeks so now I'll be sure to point it out to doctor.

Daughter has been having a lot of morning sickness and some dizziness. Her hormone levels are on track with the help of medication. Ultrasound is tomorrow. So please say a prayer. I've got you and your family in mine as well.
