I cut my blocks 4.5. It will be 96x96, and I am adding a zigzag border top & bottom. It will be queen sized.

However, as I work on it, I am realizing it will only be gorgeous from a distance, close up & draped over a bed...all you will see is the star.

*shrug*

...always learning.

Quiltmouse, I agree with you about the star-- even at the 3.5 square size it seemed to me that you don't get much of an effect of the beauty of the whole pattern, mostly the star is in view when my top is on the bed. My husband thought it looked too plain in the middle, so I'm seam ripping out the center and changing it, just to add a little design element there. I think I would have liked it better in the 2.5 square size, which would give more of the pattern on the surface of the bed...

Kathryn -

Time for another. . .quilt along? Hhhhmmmm . . . . between work, traveling and other projects, not likely. I would eventually like to make another GSS with that floral idea I mention awhile back. We'll see. . . . .

I'm really glad everyone is enjoying this project. It's fun!

Well, I don't have all the strips sewn together yet, but here is my swoon. I was going to do the gray border all around, but decided I wanted a rectangle. Looking at the backing material I have, it probably will have a red binding.

Bibliostone, it's gorgeous! Love the way you turned it into a rectangle.

bibliostone, that is stunning. Love the little watermelon right in the middle.

I love the twisted border!
