OH don't worry, the trilliums will get done ... right now I'm on the pattern search as with it being a large overall desgin, I don't want to "lose" it by cutting it up too much. Plus, I want to use all four colours of it in the same quilt. I have a few possible patterns already, and still looking. It's not as though I don't have anything else to do in the meantime!

Muv- How is the Jubilation Quilt coming along? When do we get our next peek at a section?

QuiltE - I have no clue what a trillium is...So I guess I will have to look it up. Im guessing a flower of some kind or plant.

Works4Me - You do such wonderful glass etchings I can understand why your work is so popular.

Dublb - I'm with QuiltE, Double Nudge, Nudge and an extra Nudge, That beautiful quilt top is screaming to be put up to the top of your to do list.

Have a wonderful day Ladies

Dubib...I LOVE YOUR quilt! Is that embroidery or applique for the BB? And I agree, a perfect quilt for your Brady house.

Works4me...just think of is as the foundation for your quilting....i.e.$$$$$$

QuiltE...I've seen some beautiful quilts that have blocks set on point with a large floral pattern for the setting blocks. It might even be the place for appliqué on the main blocks.

JenniKy...trilliums are wildflowers that are usually found in a woodsy setting and they bloom in early spring. Delicate but regal in appearance.

GGal ... a good description of the flower!

Jenniky
... here's some trilliums for you to check out!
http://www.google.ca/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4SUNA_enCA310CA310&q=trillium+images

As you can see, there are different variations of them. White is the most commonly known, and the first row of pics gives you a good sense of them. The TRI of trillium for their three flower petals and three leaves ... not to be confused with the three leaves of poison ivy!!

They are our provincial flower, and it is illegal to pick them. When I moved here, there were none in the bush. I've since moved several and they have gone forth and multiplied! You can't pick them, but many do move them!!). I always have liked them growing in nature ... and have a few pieces of art featuring them too. Being batik the fabric is not a true-type depiction.

As for the trillium project ... I could abandon Miss Peep ... and QAYG (which I haven't started but want to learn how to) ... and PC has been neglescted ... and then there's my numerous other PUPs that I really do want to turn into DOGS. For now, I'm content with admiring the fabric, oohing, aahing and petting it!

Or in short, just read my siggy ........................

Hello Jenninky - here's a progress picture. It's a bit boring. The Scots pine will look much better once it has its cones.

QuiltE - time for a trillium appliqué? The pictures are really pretty.

Dublb - when are you going to quilt the bluebonnets?

Muv ... I think appliques are going to be part of Miss Peep in the Character Challenge. When I get there, you;ll be seeing many a smokin' SOS from this side of the pond! Are you all caught up in the Olympic fever? Great bunch of Golds being collected by Team GB!! The trillium project will be pretty simple, because I'll want to focus on the trilliums in the batik ....... and don't hold your breath on the when!

QuiltE - you shouldn't have reminded me. I have just had to delay my bedtime to watch the jump off again for the team showjumping. I couldn't watch first time, only listen! Not many gold medallists in the games are in their fifties with hip replacements. There's hope for me yet.

Of course I should do my duty ... and you
Muv, should be watching them while you can. It'll be over all too fast and then we'll be back to our normal programming. Talk about ages ... how about our 65yo Ian Miller!! Sadly our Canadian Equestrian team didn't fare too well ... after losing one to injury and then one of our Jumpers' horses being disqualified. They showed the poor girl on TV last night and she was in tears at the press conference. They're doing the re-play of today's coverage now, so perhaps I'll see some of the Show Jump classes?
