Thanks ThimbleB!
... instead of it being used as a runner, it has become a wall hanging.
Only problem ... I hung it vertically, and the words were used on the horizontal.
Maybe I should now call it "Vertically Challenged"?

Here is a picture of an 80" square patriotic quilt I just finished. The center of the quilt started with the printed Eagle & Prairie Star panel from the American Valor collection and I pieced the remaining 4 prairie stars and the stripes and bear paws around that. JulieDeGrave, a very talented LAQ, quilted the quilt. I'll probably be posting it later this week when I get a chance to download more pictures. You all should see the amazing work Julie did on the eagle, which doesn't show up here.

BuzzinBumble....your quilt is breath taking.

[QUOTE=peggymunday;5149581]Can it be projects that have been previously completed? This is a wallhanging that was requested by a friend for a new family member that hailed from Canada. A blending of American and Canadian. They were thrilled with the result. I tried to stay to scale on placements for each flag, and had to make patterns for the stars (they were actually painted and then outline stitched) and the maple leaf (drawn freehand on a folded paper, then unfolded to have a symmetrical result). Here's some pics...

Nothing spectacular here. Just some simple Canadiana Mug Rugs!

When I was setting up my machine to quilt Monty, these were some of the trial pieces that I did to get the settings right and then to practice FMQ. I used a cream thread for the cream print on the backing and then the top thread was matched to the area I was working on, so it took some fiddling to get the tension right! These little ones helped me get the thread on the proper sides ... and avoid pokies for the better part!

Finally finished!

Nice Mug Rugs Hello QuiltE.... I bet you thought the desert swallowed me up... well in a since it did... as I have been a busy bee at the sewing machine since there is nothing else to do out here. Cheers to all my International and USA friends.

Here is one of my patriotic projects. The four pink and green blocks on the left are currently being redone in red white and blue.
