That is pretty interesting robertap. I had never heard of gellie arts before.
I've been wanting to try the melted crayon batik technique and this week I finally did it....not perfect, but it was an "interesting" experience. Will post a pic this week....also waiting to see what everyone else has been working on.
oooooo, i likee!! another process to play with!! at this rate, and with the computer, i have no time to quilt!! i did just finish my first real-people size quilt. my friend vicky quilted it for me! YAY for VICKY!!!
Okay I don't get into working with paints etc, but enjoy listening to you all chat about it. I just registered 3 quilts for AAQI and two are very traditional quilts with little bits of fabric. The third is more artsy. Here's my try. OBTW ST's poem is:
Moon, worn thin to the width of a quill,
In the dawn clouds flying,
How good to go, light into light, and still
Giving light, dying.

oksewglad, love your little quilt.
This is what I have learned this month: couching yarns by machine onto my hand-dyed fabric. This project isn't done, but it just the first step. I am taking a class at Craftsy, called Stupendous Stitching, and I can work at my own pace. I've really grown to like their classes.
oksewglad- your quilt is so pretty.
