Quilting Board One Quilt Block Contest!!! -- Entry -Jan 15 - Jan 22

Welcome to the first Contest for the new year!!

We did a Quilt Block contest last June and it was really popular so I was asked to do it again.

You make one quilt block. Any traditional quilt block or any other technique you like as in applique or any medium you want. NO limits on the technique you use.
Any size means you can make it whatever size you may want for a quilt or project. Since this is not a swap you will be keeping the quilt block.

So here you go everyone!!! Have fun making those quilt blocks!!

ENTER: Jan 15 to Jan 22

Patrice will post the winner in the Contest section when she has the votes counted.

Have the quilt blocks been posted?

cwessel47 01-29-2013 07:51 PM

It says at the top that voting is Jan 25 - 31. Better get those pics posted before there is no time left to vote!

Sorry I missed this, too.

cwessel47 02-03-2013 02:00 PM

Apparently, everyone missed this but me. I was the only entrant and so there was no contest. Rhonda says she has to beg for entries and is going to stop doing these. What a shame!!! I really enjoyed participating.

Shoot, I have 1 I would have loved to enter! Just got so busy with holidays, etc that my online time was very restricted.
can we have a do over? Also I'm not clear on how to enter( just slow this morning & brain is fogged by
intense pain :( )

I haven't heard any thing more what is up?

sewmerry 03-14-2013 02:31 AM

I would like to hear more about this contest. Sounds like a fun project. One more surely won't be too hard to do.

dee1245 01-24-2014 09:12 AM

I missed this, also. Would love to see it offered again.

Just a suggestion...would it be at all possible for all contests to be posted in a bold color? It' s really easy to miss them.....especially the short ones. Thanks.

The technology won't let me put the title in bold or any color. I can check with Patrice and see if we can do something to make them stand out but I imagine the only option will be to make it a sticky at the top of the challenges/contest section.

It would also reach more members if maybe it could be temporarily stickied on the main forum. I would have loved to do this as part of my personal skill building quest.
