I forgot and posted a finished UFO on another thread, but this is one I finished in Jan and for some reason the picture never showed up. This one is called Bird Haven by A Graceful Stitch. I also finished A Graceful Baltimore by A Graceful Stitch in Jan, will post a photo of it after I get another picture of it.

I love seeing all the projects everyone is finishing. I got sidetracked by making quilted postcards, think I am back on track.
Polly, it's very pretty. Looks like a lot of work.
I like the border fabric....a perfect fit to set off the center.
Congrats on the finish.

Our guild did this as a two year challenge. We had more than 2000 UFO among those that participated. More than half were completed that year. There were many smiling faces at the monthly show and tell. In addition, for each UFO completed you put your name on a slip of paper and into a drawing. The organizer went to quilt shops and asked for items from the guild... these were the prizes. At the end of the year, all the slips were put in a big jar and there were 3 major prizes... can't remember what they were ( think one was a sewing machine, another a large gift certificate from a quilt shop and the third draws a blank.

Anyway, it was well received. The gal who did it was well organized and each participant had a notebook with a page for each UFO. One lady had over 500 UFO's. She taught classes and had many samples in various stages.

We even had a section of our quilt show for showing the UFO's.

Sure I thought I was done with the farm block swap with one quilt, what was I thinking, I found blocks for a whole other one and it is set out on design wall, needs sewn. Put a solid color ziner on it and then pieced border with all the left over fabric for farm and I may get rid of all those scraps. Then quilt. have to go to store and buy a roll of 6oz polyester. i like that weight for quilting fills in gaps better and gives a bit more loft and warmth.

Default Feb UFO done

I finished this table runner. I started it about 4 years ago after taking a class from Char Jorgensen on this Cleopatra pattern. Had the top done. Got it quilted last week and got it bond while being layed up from knee surgery.

I had been working on several projects to have then ready for the hand work to do while I was laid up. But it seems I have spent a lot of time on the quilting board. So when I done with this back to the sewing projects.
