Missgigglewings - I'm so sorry that you are having a hard time. We all have times like that. I too think that you need a hug. {Huggs}

I fianlly got the monster quilted after I got my Janome back, I am making the binding and sewing it on tomorrow and it will (hopefully) be finished by Friday! This is one quilt I will be glad to get out of my life so I can get on with my life before it consumes me!
Miss g.w.....Sorry to hear about all the obstacles/upheaval.
But, you got the monster quilted so that definitely counts as major progress.
Keep on pluggin"!

Hugggggggs for you miss gigglewings, sure sounds like you need some!!
Here is the UFO I am working on. I had the strips about half cut, only to find I had cut them wrong, but didn't have enough fabric to recut them so I went with what I had already and adapted the size of the blocks. After putting a couple together, I wasn't thrilled with them so I decided rather than sewing the 3 sections of each set together into it's block, I would randomize the sections in the blocks and put the blocks together that way.
Special thanks to our board member who did this technique with her D9P that I loved so much. That is where I got the idea! Am attaching a pic of the original way the blocks are supposed to go, then of the random placement, which I will be sewing together tomorrow!
Hey, nice save!
It looks great!
The random placement adds movement and interest to the top.

wildyard, I do like your way better Looking forward to seeing it all together.

Everyone, even progress on our UFO's is progress toward the finish line. Me I am the tortoise, slow and steady. Yesterday I sewed the binding down on the charity baby quilts, (Feb. finish), Pieced and loaded the backing (March finish).

My UFO finish for March is "Gemini." I'm announcing it so I'll have to finish it. If anyone wants to see a pic of it, just do a search for Gemini and it will bring up a pic of one similar to the one I'm doing. I'm using all batiks as well but in softer colors that the one pictured here. Wish me luck.

Well, do I really need to write down what I am finishing for March? Let me see, what I want to finish or will finish. That is the question. Ok, list of wants with the hopes of actually accomplishing them, if not, will put in little project:

1. Sunbonnet Sue quilted and bound (1 year old)
2. Pastel quilt quilted and bound and mailed.
3. Delectible Mountains quilted and bound (8 years old)
4. Applique quilt finished quilted and bound (2 years old)
5. SIL Western Star quilt cut, sewed, quilted, and bound (2 years)
6. Dresdan Binding completed (1 year)
7. Thanksgiving Pumpkin hanging bound (1.5 years)
8. Wilderness quilted and bound (.6years old)
9. BOM Peach quilted and bound (7 years old)
10. Shekenah's quilt (DD) (8 months old)
11. Bargello sewed and quilted and bound (1 year old)
All this while finishing up my blocks for three swaps, monthly swap and a doll quilt. Yes, I am pshyco here. These are my goals for March. Now tell the migraine to stay away so i can finish what I want!!!!

QuilterMomma looking forward to seeing your finished projects.

Things I want to accomplish (UFO's):
Mom's quilt to her cousin, sandwich, pin, quilt, and binding(she'll do the final sewing of the binding)
Sister Liz's cat wall hanging, sandwich, pin, quilt, and binding.
2 charity baby quilts- finish up

I will be very happy if I get these done.
