But then I don't hit my goal for the month which I need to so I can stay on track for the year. I know, get the kid home from college and have her help with the canning. My girls need to learn how so they can feed their families. Hmmm that will help there. DH has been so busy with work, hardly getting any meals so I am going to have to go grocery shopping for some quick bites that are diet friendly to add to my meals, oh yeah Schwans, that answers that, now since I may get caught up at work and the personal finiancials, and the boss will be gone from office, can do quilting while at work, doing all the hand stuff and cutting, bringing in the embroidery machine to do my designs while I am working, that may help. I am sure I can do this, I am sure I can do this, I am sure I can do this, just have to delegate a bit. Yep, kid is going to cut out that applique pieces for that table runner I started two years ago. I am so over working ahead of myself. One project at a time from now on. This is so ridiculous. Next month I am going to work on my football quilts that I started and make sure I put a Steelers piece of fabric in the neighbor's Denver Foot Ball quilt. That ought to fix him a good. He is in the Airforce and has served two stretches overseas in the last two years. I started it on his first stretch and set it aside. That one needs done next month. I figured I would do five quilts this month and then five small projects. I have a DQ that is nearly done that I started, one tablerunner picked out. Have to find fabric scraps for the other one that is all together for the little scarecrows and then that one will be ready to finish. I know it will come together.

Well, enough whining, back to work ladies. Lets get to quilting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great finishes ladies! I feel a little guilty because I have been doing very little quilting this summer. I took a break, my grandkids came for a nice visit, most of our family birthdays are in the summer, and preparation for the county fair took up a lot of my time....not that I am whining.....I enjoyed every moment of it! As for the county fair, thanks again to all who helped me decide what category to put the "Canning Jar Quilt" into......I was awarded 2nd Place in the Novelty Division. There were so many georgeous quilts there......I didn't know we had so many talented ladies in the county. Then there was the Chocolate Cake winner.....I won 1st Place for my chocolate cake which my family so graciously ate all my test runs from January until now.....they said it was tough, but someone had to do it! I do have some quilt finishes, however, I am on my ipad and the images are on my desktop. I will try to upload the images later today.

AWESOME JOB NANCHAR! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!! Second works just as well and first on cake. Hmmmm, that sounds good if I was a chocolate cake eater. I am into the cheesecake stuff. Glad for you. It is a pretty quilt.

I have not gotten anything else done this month except that wall hanging. Been so busy with garden. I do have a pumpkin the size of a beach ball now and 7 others coming up fast. I have 14 quarts of pickles done up, 7 pints of zucchini pickles, four batches of zucchini bread froze, two batches of zucchini fritters froze which are being eaten already, and two quarts of zucchini froze raw so can use for bread later, apple tree planted, four roses planted, one lily, a hydrangea waiting to be put in ground, and the grass is green plus we ar weed free at this moment and wet. Whew, now maybe I can get some quilting done for this month. I need to finish two customer quilts tonight in the hot garage of 95 degrees. Sure, I finally get to quilt and the weather turns hotter, who'd figure.

This is not a UFo, but a quilt from the first mystery quilt train challenge last spring. I tried to follow with the gals, but got caught up in the rest of my UFOs that I could not keep up, but I did finish the quilt last month and the label and binding just this last weekend. It took me three mornings to embroidery the label but got it done. I love how it turned out and the of course, I love my quilting on it. It is a Dave Hudson western themed panto that just seemed to make this quilt sing Home on The Range. I even made the borders fit directional. I think with the left overs, I am going to make me a western purse.
