It has to roll over, I have more to do. Yes Judith, there are still more in the cupboard to get done and then I did some of the swaps here this year and they need to be done now. Good thing I am joining in the swaps that have to have a finished product so i can incorporate motivation to get them done. Doing the wall haning swap and the table runner swap helps quite a bit. Thinking about the mug rug one, but everything is bigger than that one right now. I do have the two four day weekends which I will be pushing to get my 18 done. I have the Christmas one on the wall and have a few blocks to tweek to right size, embroidery one more SBS for a corner and it is ready to assemble and quilt. Thinking that is Friday pm job to assemble. Will warm up garage and get it quilted and the other Umbrella Girl wall hanging quilted for two down. Then back into house to do another one. I am thinking if I think accomplished instead of production, I may get more done. Not sure if my brain will think this way. I am usually do all the tops then go to garage and quilt them all then do all the binding. Just not sure I want to stand on my feet for that long to finish all the tops. Then during next week when I have to work, will just do tops and pray I get two done in a day. One of the projects is a Hunter Star pattern which has been cut up for over 10 years. yep on of those again. It will take focus for sure. Will keep you posted.

I haven't counted mine. Just working on sections at a time. I don't think there are a hundred but who knows. I'd rather be oblivious. Maybe one day I will get up courage.I definitely hope they will roll over the thread. My UFOs aren't done. LOL

They started a new thread for this year, I am thinking they will do the same. If anything, I will request it because it is so much fun to see all the finishes of everyone and the satisfaction of knowing it is done and others enjoy seeing them as well. It has been so encouraging for me this year in this quest. I would like to be able to continue one more year to get the last of them done.

I vote (he he) that we all do a year end summary by the 31st here...how many you started the year with, how many you finished, how many new you started (oh my) and your new total going into 2013. Just a thought. With pics if you like.

And then, we start a new thread for 2013.

What do ya'll say???

Oh Fraew, how are those bindings coming along?

Is this a contest, how many we started with? Do you think we counted them to begin with? Mine were counted and then stopped at 130 just because she was tired of writing. How many new projects were added to it, you counted this year right? Hmmm, how many swaps did I do this year that is how many I started.

Now the new total for 2013 of all projects, that I can do and won't get over 50 for sure, might only be 40 (lol).

Oh yeah binding...1 done, binding cut for 2 more. I'm still doing Boom blocks!!! 3 to go, them back to binding.

BTW - swaps don't count as projects! They are just strays for now.

Strays huh? You not wanting to face up that there are a few of those laying around? That sounds easy enough then. My project list just got shorter. Now do the WIP count? I have some of those that are the 1", 1.5", and 2" quilts being formed. They just happen to takes lots of little pieces. I have a bunch of scraps that I will be trimming and adding to those. Someday I hope to make the postage stamp quilt. If we don't count those then my list got even shorter. I could be down to at least 20 is all that is left. LOL

Collecting/forming? No way does that count! That's an idea that requires substantial prep work prior to committing to a formal quilt design. All those squares that we are both collecting could be one or more quilts. So...you just can't count the unknown.

Swaps are also unknown. For example, I may make 3 quilts out of my Boom blocks instead of 1.

Therefore, if unknown, it doesn't count.

Yes, I sleep better at night; with less than 20 UFOs. All identified as unfinished.

Ok, I was in the garage cupboards today where all the UFOs are. I pulled the ones I should and hope to finish by the end of this year. I do have some quilt kits that she counted as UFOs but are just there to be made. They are real nice ones that need done which will be for the slow and steady world, not get them done. I will only, including swaps, have approximately 17 kits/swaps/ufos undone in my stash. That makes me feel so much better. i do have two quilts to be quilted that will take several, I mean several, hours to complete and will be show quilts so those are ok to have. I want them to be done very well and lots of care. I have to be in a groove to get those done. So, my work is cut out for me for the end of year quest. Anyone want to come over and help, I take all offers. They are all cut out, just need pieced and assembled, then I will ge them quilted. Now how does one quilt an applecore quilt? Will that one be some stitch in the ditch practice with the longarm? I do know I am going to be practicing my all overs and pantos on these last 18 and doing some of my online classes that I have purchased to watch and do.
