    Optical Illusion Quilt 1
    Yardage 2.25 yards (44-45” wide) each of two colors
    You can probably cut the yardage down slightly if using a non-directional fabricapproximate
    “waste” 6.5”x 37” and 5” x 39” of each color
    Finished size (does not include borders)
    All seams sewn with a .25 (1/4 inch) seam
    Use highly contrasting fabrics for best effect
    Cut the following strips: (in inches)

  7. Swan Lake

    I started this quilt 2 years ago, it gets worked on in stages.

    I pieced the background, machine appliqued the swans, lilies & cat tails, machine embroidered the wisteria.

    The cat tails are a yarn that I couched to give dimension.

    The swans, lily pads were fused and machine stitched.

    The lilies were individual petals that were thread painted, with the center highlighted with yellow.
