I don't mean to cook in bulk..but its just the two of us and I had five kids, so I just have big pots...I start with a small pot to make soup, add the meat and garlic to boil, add veggies, oh oh need to change to bigger pot so the cabbage can fit. So know I have soup for several days...Husband does not like frozen soup but he doesn't mind reheating the soup. That is my way of bulk cooking..haha

There are just the two of us, but I get together with couple of friends who live alone and we have a cooking day, and dive up the results among the household. We shop together, I pay have and they each pay 1/4. It is a great way to have fun and add variety to our dinners.

We started this when we all got to complaining about how often we ate the same thing, a chicken breast and veggie every night.

Have 2 crock pots going right now. stew and soup. dH will take to lunch. He bbs. Never knows when he can get away for lunch so he eats at the office. Not afraid of reruns (leftovers) as he calls them. Says it sounds better. Will do something in the oven for supper.

The veggie, creamy tomato and cucumber soups that i put into the freezer from last summer's garden are really good this winter.
