Has anyone made a cake with beans in it?

I'm thinking of trying one of these recipes...

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/pinto-b...ke/detail.aspx

or

http://www.food.com/recipe/pork-n-be...ke-easy-322148

.....and I was just wondering if anyone had experience with something similar.

Thanks!

I have never seen them before! But it makes sense! I just might have to try too.
(Who ever thought you could get fiber with your cake :)

Sounds really good, BUT LOOK AT THE CALORIES! 1480 calories for the Pork n' Bean cake. (Still want to try it though.) ;)

Asians use smashed beans as a sweetener. Their cakes most often have beans in them.

I made a sausage cake once. Started with a pound of sausage, browned and drained. It was like a heavy spice cake,, Nobody could tell what was in it, but everybody who liked spice cake anyway liked it.
