Default Can anyone help me with this biscuit recipe?

Today I was watching public television, P. Allen Smith. He had a lady who gave a recipe for biscuits. I heard all of the ingredients except for the last one, the buttermilk. It was in ounces.

Recipe:

4 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup baking powder
1 stick butter
3 sticks margarine
buttermilk?

Would really appreciate any help you can give. The way she makes them they are really flaky and I so want to try them.

Thanks in advance.

That sounds like an awful lot of butter and margarine but I'm going to try them. They do look yummy.

Only if you eat the recommended serving size.........

Serves 3.

Makes two dozen large or three dozen small biscuits.

you would be eating either 8 or 12 of these bad boys all by yourself depending on size.

I am really curious bout this recipe. It sounds like an awful lot of fat for 4 cups of flour, and quite a lot of baking powder for that matter, but I am always up for a good biscuit. If any of you try this recipe, please post your comments here.

I watched the program and also missed the quantity for BM I made half the recipe and used 1 cup. They
came out wonderful. It made 18 2" size. I baked 6 and put the rest in the freezer. Enjoy!
