Default Cheesy Bacon Ranch Potatoes in oven?

I have a recipe for cheese bacon ranch potatoes which are to be cooked in a crockpot. The recipe says to line the crockpot with foil and then fold the remaining foil over the potatoes to seal before cooking. The recipe has potatoes, dry ranch dressing, shredded cheese, and bacon layered in the crockpot. Is to cook 3-4 hr. on high or 7-8 hr. on low. I will be using my crockpot for another dish so wondering if anyone has made these in the oven. I would use a foil pan and seal the top with heavy foil. Has anyone made them this way? How long did you cook, what temperature and were you satisfied with the results? Any help would be appreciated. Plan to serve them this weekend.

I'll bet if you add a little bit of liquid, too, you'll be fine. Think about how long it takes to bake a potato at 400 and go from there. These also sound almost like scalloped potatoes, so you could follow a recipe for those.

Potatoes are so easy! Good luck!

have taken potato wedges and shaken them in ranch dressing baked them on a sheet. Never thought about adding cheese and bacon you could do that st last min.to melt bacon and crisp up the precooked bacon.

Taste of Home has one for the oven. I googled the receipe and several url's came up, clicked on the Taste of Home and it sounds good much like what you are talking about. May have to try this and see how my family likes it.
