Just a little update: I made a double batch of these today. It took a long time...didn't really watch the clock, just the thermometer. Cooked until 248 degrees, let them cool, and they were a great consistency for rolling within an hour or so.
Absolutely delicious. Can't wait to get them out of my house so I don't eat them ALL!!

I made these today...I have a gas range with the burner set on 3. I cooked for more than 20 minutes...until no matter how much I stirred the batter began sticking to the bottom of the pan.

I allowed to cool for 2 hours and just made the balls, rolled in chopped nuts. No problems...and so yummy!
