2 cups sugar, 3 TBLS. cocoa, dash of salt.1 stick butter,1/2 cup milk, 2 cups oats, 1/2 cup peanut butter,1 teas. vanilla

Bring sugar, milk, cocoa, and butter in pan, bring to a boil, boil 2 -3 minutes. remove from heat, add peanut butter, stir to melt, add vanilla and oats, stir. Quickly drop by spoonful onto waxed paper. Don't overcook, it will get to crumbly, I turn heat down when it gets to bubbling good.Store covered.

Sounds exactly like my mom's recipe, except I use 3 cups quick oats
