DD gave me this recipe..not sure where it originated from:

In your crockpot......
add:
6-7 apples...sliced/chunked like you would for pie.....no need to peel unless you want to (i dont)
1 box butterscotch pudding....(regular..not instant)
1/4 cup brown sugar
Cinnnamon to taste..i probably used 2 tsp. ( i like lot alot of cinnamon)

(DO NOT ADD LIQUID)

stir it up & let cook on low till apples are soft/tender..it makes a delicious carmel sauce...
great over vanilla ice cream....or just the apples!

enjoy :)

question: cooked on low - about how long does it take 3hours - 5 hours?

Just need to get an idea - guessing that if it cooks too long it would be reallllly mushy.

Thanks sounds like a wonderful idea for when people are coming over for a long afternoon and this could be dessert cooking while we're doing dinner and games and such.

Yep. 3-5 would do it, just keep checking. Would also depend on the apples you use
