Hi these are delicious, especially if you dip your Churros into Hot melted Chocolate as they do for breakfast here.

200 Gr Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Litre Water
1 Large Egg
Olive Oil to Fry (Extra Virgen if Poss)
Castor Sugar or Milk Chocolate

Bring Water to boil with salt added.
Pour water into bowl containing Flour
Stir till you have a smooth dough
Beat in Egg and keep stirring till smooth
Put mix into a forcing bag with large fluted nozzle and pipe directly into the hot Oil (be careful please) Take care not to overheat the oil.
fry till golden, lift out and drain on paper. Cut into long pieces. and either dip into castor sugar or a cup of melted Chocolate.
Mmmmmmm delicious.

Enjoy Elle

This made me so homesick for family I no longer have. My grandmother and her sister--my godmother--used to make these for me when I was a kid. They would pipe a big continuous spiral. The came to America from near Almeria when the were young. Thank you

I live in Axarquia region and this is breakfast here for some of the locals.

I havenīt been to Almeria, but I hear it is changing fast as there is a lot of building going on. At the moment it is one of the cheaper regions to buy in as the infrastructure is going in fast to accommodate the new buyers with golf courses etc.

Take care my friend Elle

They sell these at outdoor events - County Fairs, etc., and they are good!

Thanks for the recipe, now I can make it without having to fork out a few bucks for one- or waiting for the events!

I just love churros. Thanks for posting the recipe, as I can't get them here in VA.

They are nice. How do you all serve them. Here they serve with a cup of hot thick chocolate and you dip your Churro in it, Yummy

I've only ever had them with a sugar and cinnamon mix all over it.

Your way sounds yummy!

Beachlady, I think it's basically the same as fried dough.

I like mine with a touch of confectioner's sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
YUM!!
