How do you go about cutting raw squash? It is so hard that I can't cut through it. I have to roast mine whole and then clean it out.

That's why I use my recipe with the frozen pureed squash.

I peel it with my big old butcher knife. also you can easily roast it cut in half seeded. then the parts inside come out perfectly every time I cut the very top off, the very bottom off then carefully (key word) cut it in half. its not that hard if you get your weight over it. you can always ask someone to help you cut this please just be safe. when diving into something that hard you have to be firm but SAFE.
