I went to dixie-fried link to "Please share bread recipes" and used the one with brown sugar, changed the flour ratio to 1/3 whole wheat and 2/3 AP white and it was fantastic. Two days on my counter in a ziplock bag and it is still unbelievably good....

Sometime ago someone posted a beer bread recipe, can't remember who it was, but we have been makng it alot its super easy makes one loaf or 3 small ones''''

3 cups self rising flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 can room temp beer
Mix up and put in pan, 350 for about 40 minutes, butter top every 10 minutes....its delicious

I have found that adding some powdered lecithin to the dough helps keep it fresh longer. It's a natural ingredient, not a chemical additive.
