These are tasty and so easy to make. I mix up a batch and freeze the shaped balls, just pop in the oven when I need a fast bring something food.

2 cups Bisquick
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1lb sausage

I use Jimmy Dean Hot sausage, it's not greasy and the sausage flavor comes through. I was surprised the hot flavor was not strong at all.
Mix the ingredients together.

(I use my mixer with the curly hooks. I don't like putting my hands in food)

Roll into balls about 1 1/2" round, they will rise and bake bigger then the size you roll. Place on cooking sheet.

(I line the sheet with parchment paper so I don't have to wash the pan)

(I found it's a lot less messier to use disposable gloves to form the balls as the mix does not stick to the gloves.)

Bake in 350º for 18 minutes or until golden brown.

This looks delish. I have just started tyring to adapt the regular Bisquick recipes to the gluten free Bisquick. This morning we had pancakes made from left over mashed potatoes.

I love left over mashed potatoes. I add onion, cheese, egg, and Bisquick or self rising flour, drop big spoonfuls into a frying pan and fry until crispy brown. It's one of my family's favorite foods.

We rarely have leftover mashed potatoes, so that was a real treat.

I think about this every holiday season and then forget about them. I think they are a MUST for this year....and they freeze well from what I hear..

I have not ever made them yet but I think after cooking them I would put them in a mini- crockpot on the appetizer buffet table...(with toothpicks or mini forks close by...)
