Default Easy Custard Pie

This is soooooo good AND easy!!

4 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp vanilla
a pinch of salt
2 cups 2% milk
1/4 cup butter

Throw it in the blender. Blend well. Pour in a 9 inch greased (I use butter) pie pan and cook at 350 for 45 minutes.

Thanks for sharing ..... I'm thinking that with the flour, it separates and makes a crust, all on its own?

It's impossible pie. I make it all the time and add 1 cup flaked coconut and 1 cup chopped pecans. The nuts and coconut come to the top and brown and it is delicious. It does make it's own crust.

Another note on the pie. It bakes better in a pie pan rather than a glass pie plate.
The glass tends to keep the crust softer and the tin will bake a little more done on the bottom.

I've made the impossible quiche ... so know this one will be ever so delicious, especially with your coconut and pecan addition!

The impossible pie is one of my familys favorite...I do add the coconut...may have to make a couple today..always two, one for DH and I and one for DD and family. you are right about being easy....alway looking for time saving ideas..so there is more time at the sewing machine.

I'm trying this right now. This will be my new good to desert. Every time it seems I go to make a pie, I don't have a pre-purchased crust and jiffy pie crust is harder to find. Not having to worry with making a crust makes this the perfect recipe.
Thank you. thank you.

I have been making this delicious recipe for about three years now and it is a winner whenever I serve it. So far everyone has liked it except my son in law. His loss, right? Thanks for spreading the word about this so easy recipe.
