Fun food traditions
#1
My kids always want blue potatoes on the 4th of July. It's one of the silly things we do. Like heart shaped pizza on Valentine's Day.
Made me think of what other food traditions we all have. On of the funnest, I think, is pie on March 14.

we always have whatever the person requests on their birthday, but I have these Christmas cookies that are an annual thing, and never make them during the year.
If you set one on your head, your tongue would slap your brains out trying to get to it! they're that good!
we used to call them nieman marcus cookies, now we just call them our family christmas cookies. SAL-URP!!!!
I am going to make the dough this weekend and put in fridge. Will bake later, cause it's a scratch recipe and it's big. lot of work, but well worth it!
I can eat them eight ways to sunday! :)
