a member of the board asked me about our black beans, well this is the way
I like to do my black beans, :
in the pressure cooker I place the clean black beans with enough water, salt oregano cumin bay leave garlic onion culantro and I cook it for at least 45 minutes, then when I open the pressure cooker and make sure that the bean are soft I let it cook just a little more with some olives cut in little pieces. when ready I serve them with white rice and the meat. I dont throw away what ever is left because I save them to make congris which is a type of rice cooked together with the black beans ( if you want the recipe, let me know)

I just got some cans of black beans and am looking for recipe ideas. I do NOT like Mexican or spicy food.
