Default Homemade Khula

I like this with milk in it over ice , great with coffee or just plain over ice . Great for gift giving. Mix 1 cup boiled distilled water(MUST be distilled) with 12 level teaspoons of instant coffee ( DO NOT USE FREEZE DRIED COFFEE) Boil 3 more cups of distilled water with 4 cups of sugar for 20 minutes or until sugar is dissolved .Pour all of the above in a CLEAN gallon jug & add 1 fifth of vodka ( I use a 1.75 liter or what ever the jug will hold of the bottle of Vodka) & 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract . Put in a dark place for 2 weeks ( I stick mine under the kitchen sink ) then pour into dark colored bottles ( I use old syrup bottles) .Ready to use & ALOT cheaper than buying & I'll bet no one can tell the difference . I pay $10.00 for the Vodka & buy my instant coffee at the Dollar Store ,Really cheap to make & taste just like the High dollar stuff.

I am glad to see this recipe. I had done this many years ago and couldn't remember how, so now I will save it! It is also great over vanilla ice cream.

I had a receipt close to this, it called for a vanilla bean cut in half diagonally and it used freeze dried coffee, during the two week period, I was to shake the jug two times a day. Yes, this is very good with light cream over ice!!!
