Prepared mustard.
Chopped raw onion.
Mix with tomatoes and rice and top with mild chow chow (pickled cabbage)

one and two can be done together as can two and three, but I wouldn't do all three at once ;-)

Have heard of this for green beans but what works really good especially if you have someone who doesn't like green beans is to cook and then drain off all liquid, add a few slices of american cheese and let melt, then serve.

Now as for the "other" beans sorry no help as I will ONLY eat in chili.

Well I opened two cans, put in my Mom's old Hull casserole dish, added some molasses, brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard and heated in the oven. MUCH better. Next time I will add even more molasses.
They still needed salt but I was sharing with DH who has HBP, so I just added it to my plate.

We enjoy them more when I put in sweet onions, Molasses, and a bit of chopped ham. Good way to use left over ham.

Along with these, add lima beans, green pepper, butter beans, chopped onion, and barbeque sauce. If you aren't after a vegetarian recipe, add some ground beef too. Put it in a crock pot. Now you've made Cowboy Beans. YUM!
