Default Kidney Bean Salad [not 3 bean salad]

I had this at my wedding 46 years ago, and I am making it for my daughter's wedding in June.
I am not listing the amounts of things, cause I doubt if you really want enough to feed 300.

cooked or canned kidney beans
finely chopped celery
sweet relish
mayo
chili powder
Mix and refrigerate overnight.

Oh my golly, I haven't had that in ages. Mom used to make this often when I was a kid (50+ yrs. ago). I can almost taste it. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Mother also added chopped hard-boiled eggs. This was a staple at our house.

I add hard boiled eggs too! I use Tony's for some kick. Add also leave a little of the juice from the canned beans to have less of a mayo taste but I use Mircle Whip.

That is a summer staple in my house - along with pea salad - every time we grill burgers and hotdogs.
