sugar free Jello works just fine.
Novice-for-Now....great tip on freezing the evaporated (not condensed) milk. I prefer regular evaporated milk but 2% will work.
I had no idea the recipe started in the 50's - sheesh...this recipe is as old as I am

I am quite health conscious person so i always try my best to eat healthy and pure stuff.I have found that if you actually freeze the condensed milk until there are ice crystals, you will get a fluffier product when it is whipped.
