looking for recipe for Date bars
My daughter got a mixture of cookies from her neighbor, who got them in a cookie exchange. So she didn't have the recipe.
They were bars with small pieces of dates and something like Rice Krispies or breakfast flakes of some kind. They were very good and not real sweet.
Does anyone have a recipe like this?

Would they have rolled oats instead of Rice Crispies? If so, look at this link http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/...9-e48dc5240c3d

Off the subject, but I went to my Sewing Groups Christmas dinner at a restaurant and they had an appetizer that was dates stuffed with blue cheese, then wrapped with bacon and baked then dusted with a chili powder of some kind. They were fantastic - and I don't really like Blue Cheese

they might be a version of Hairy Eyeballs. they have dates and rice krispies. I guess you could flatten them like a cookie instead of making a ball and rolling in coconut. this one is from cooks.com My friends recipe calls for cooking 1st 4 ingredients and then cooling before making into balls, since it calls for an egg I think it is wise to cook.
