My sister's secret to great macaroni salad is .......... Kraft Cole Slaw Dressing!

Mix with macaroni with chopped egg, finely sliced celery, a little mustard and sweet relish.
Salt and pepper to taste.

My favourite is to add drained and flaked salmon to the mix.

My MIL's Shrimp & Macaroni Salad

2 cans of tiny shrimp - any brand will do - for some reason fresh bay shrimp does not
1 package of salad macaroni - cooked, rinsed and cooled
1 cup of chopped pickles - we use Kosher dill pickles
1 cup of chopped celery
1 cup of chopped green onions

Mixed together with mayonnaise - we use a little over a cup - depends on how you like it covered then garlic salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with sliced hard boiled eggs and paprika sprinkled on top.

It is always a hit.

I like the cole slaw dressing as it is thinner, and not so goopy on the salad!

Another nice twist to a macaroni salad is to add some grated parmesan.

I cook one box of macaroni in salty water. The water is suppose to be as salty as the ocean. Chop 1/2 onion, three celery sticks, three or four sweet pickles and two chopped hard boiled eggs. Mix with the macaroni. For the dressing
1 1/4 cup mayo, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1 tablespoon sweet pickle juice, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, a sprinkle of paprika, salt and pepper. Mix with the macaroni and cool. It's better if it sits for a while. Adjust spices before serving. I also like to add albacore tuna.
