Default Tamales

Sharing my favorite thing to make for the holidays using my Kitchen Aid is tamales. I just know my g-m would be proud

Started making them about 5 yrs ago. Beginner's luck and I guess something stuck from watching my gm making them as a child my tamales are a favorite for my family.

I love homemade tamales, but they're wayyyyyyyyy too much work for this gal, since the less time I spend in the kitchen the better I like it. LOL

I make tamales every year the day after Thanksgiving. The only thing is, I cook my meat ahead of time so I can get the deed done quicker. It's alot of work but so worth it!!!

yummy on home made tamales. I have never made them but know what work goes into it. Last Christmas a former pt/friend who lives in another state sent me some she had made. I got spoiled in the 80s working in a clinic with a 90% Hispanic clientele.

How do you use your Kitchen Aid? For the masa?
