Default Not a recipe but a food recommendation

Has anyone tried the "Seeds of Change" rice and quinoa in a bag. It's organic with no coloring or artifiicial things in it. It's cooked and you can heat it in the bag in the microwave so it's ready really fast. Heating in plastic doesn't appeal to me so I just put it in a fry pan with 2 Tablespoons of water and heated it. Since it was given to me I now need to find where I can buy it. I looked at other packaged, flavored rices but they had so many bad ingredientds in them. This is fairly healthy and tastes great.

Have you tried the health food stores? It sounds like a health food.

Seeds of Change has a web site. You can put in your zip code and find out what stores in your area carry the brand. Then call the store to find out if they stock that product.

I read somewhere that Costco doesn't have them anymore. I think Wegmans might have them. I think next time I'm going to see if they have the kind you cook yourself. My husband didn't like the idea that a cooked product was sitting on the shelf in a plastic bag.

you should be able to find it at a health food store, Whole Foods or possibly in your local grocery store in the health food section.

I just cook my rice in a microwave rice cooker. The only things we eat rice with is red beans, gumbo, crawfish efouffee, and jambalaya! All yummie!

I haves a rice cooker but it takes about 25 minutes to cook. I never thought of one for the microwave. The reason I liked the packaged rice so much was because it was flavored nicely. I have a recipe for fried rice that's easy. I'm always looking for different tasting rice because we eat a lot of it.
