Traditional

Pie shell- baked- cooled
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
mix like crumbs put half of crumbs on bottom of pie crust .
Filling
1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 cups milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten Mix ingredients together in a large microwave bowl. Microwave 2 min remove stir return for about 2 min -stir return to MW. 1-2 min till thick.
stir 2 tsp. butter 1 teaspoon. vanilla .Pour int shell and chill cover with 8 oz. container cool whip and sprinkle remainder crumbs on top-refrigerate

This is a recipe a dear friend gave me (she always brought this to potluck ) it is the best peanut butter pie recipe I have ever found Don't try to take a short cut and use pudding mix.
