Since Halloween is comeing, I have looked EVERYWHERE for some, cant find them! So, I will make some. Got any favorite recipes? I make some that are like rice crispie treats, just use pocorn instead, and add 1/4 c brown sugar to the butter. YUM!!!!!!!!!!

This is what I get every Christmas from my Mom. This year it won't happen as she has gone blind and no more treats for the oldest daughter. She is 81 and was the chef extraordinaire. Will miss those popcorn balls.

Here's my family favorite.

1 c. brown sugar
2/3c. sweetened condensed milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. light corn syrup
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
5 qts. popped corn
candy thermometer
Melt together butter, brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring constantly, bring to a boil.Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and simmer to soft ball stage or 235°. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour over popped corn, stir thoroughly. Butter your hands and form into balls. Enjoy.

I make them like you only I don't add the br. sugar. They're much better than the ones you can buy.

Thanks for sharing this recipe! I haven't had popcorn balls in "forever" so it will be fun to make a batch. :)
