Please note this is not a pretty bread but my family loves it and its fast and easy to make.
3 c flour 1/3 cup sugar 2 t baking powder 1/2 t salt 1 - 12oz bottle warm (room temp.) beer Velveata cheese, cubed Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add cubed cheese. Make a "well" in the center and pour beer in the well. Mix and pour into a buttered and floured regular bread pan. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour. Be warned the top will have dark brown (almost black) spots from the cheese but it tastes great. I like LOTS of cheese in mine so I cube slightly less than 1 pound. Maybe start with about 1/2 pound and see what you like. |
That looks yummy. I'm no beer drinker but I sure do cook with it alot. This I'll have to try. Thanks

Oh my, I'm going to make this and put jalapenos in it too. I had cheese jalapeno bagals once and this has to be just as good. Thanks for this recipe.
